TIM ALEXANDER FOR CONGRESS ENDORSED BY CUMBERLAND COUNTY REGULAR DEMOCRATIC ORGANIZATION AND FOUR MUNICIPAL CHAIRS

Broadband access and fair-trade policies are among a number of kitchen table issues driving support for Alexander’s campaign.

OCEANVILLE, N.J. (March 6, 2026) – The Tim Alexander Campaign for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd District today announced the endorsement of the Cumberland County Regular Democratic Organization and four municipal Democratic chairs from across Cumberland County.

The Cumberland County Regular Democratic Organization’s endorsement represents a major show of confidence in Alexander’s candidacy, as Democrats in Cumberland County selected him over four other candidates seeking the party’s nomination ahead of the June 2, 2026, primary election.

“Receiving the endorsement of the Cumberland County Regular Democratic Organization is a tremendous honor,” Alexander said. “Cumberland County helped shape my commitment to public service, and I am deeply grateful to every member of the organization for their trust, support, and confidence in this campaign. I do not take that trust lightly.”

The Alexander Campaign has also been endorsed by community leaders LaRae Smith, Commercial Township Chair, Marion Kennedy, Jr., Fairfield Township Chair, Sandy Acevedo, Upper Deerfield Township Chair, and Damita WhiteMorris, Bridgeton City Chair, in a joint statement in which each expressed support for Alexander in their personal capacities.

Acevedo emphasized Alexander’s dedication to rural communities and small businesses.

“He champions rural communities, advocates for fair trade policies that support farmers, and pushes for broadband access so our children can learn and our businesses can compete,” Acevedo said. “I’m standing with Tim because he will deliver real results for Upper Deerfield Township and all of South Jersey.”

“Commercial Township is a small community with a big heart, and our residents want leaders who will stand up for them,” Smith stated. “I’ve watched Tim Alexander meet with fishermen and farmers, parents and seniors, and he always asks what he can do to help. He puts people first and will give South Jersey the voice it deserves in Washington.”

“As chair of Fairfield Township, I know the challenges our towns face every day,” said Kennedy, Jr. “Tim isn’t just another politician; he’s a neighbor who knows the struggle firsthand. He listens, he puts people over politics, and he will bring federal resources home to improve our infrastructure and public services.”

WhiteMorris underscored the importance of investing in children and seniors.

“Bridgeton City is my home, and I’ve dedicated my life to empowering our young people and supporting families,” White-Morris said. “Tim Alexander shares that understanding. His work as a civil rights attorney show he will champion fairness and opportunity for everyone. I’m proud to endorse Tim who will fight for every corner of our district.”

“I’m grateful to have the support of these dedicated community leaders,” Alexander said. “I look forward to working with them to build a more just, prosperous, and connected South Jersey.”
